Season 2008 -2009
U15s v Ledbury - Sunday, 9 November 2008
Ledbury U15's 19 - Hereford U15's 36
With a bit of confidence gained from the previous weeks victory over Bredon, the boys were up for the clash against their closest rivals Ledbury.
A typical wet and windy November morning , but there was an abundance of players eagerly chomping at the bit for the local clash.
Ledbury started well with Hereford having to defend their line for the first 10 mins. That’s about all I saw of the game as I was then confined to the changing room to look after a player with a neck injury, the player was eventually taken by Air Ambulance to Worcester . Will update next week on his condition next week.
By the time I got back to the pitch Hereford were 7 tries to 3 up .
I therefore got an analysis from the loyal Hereford parent supporters.
Basically, great for 60mins but turned off when the game was won. With more concentration there would have been no points conceded.  Man of the Match was Rory Edwards.
There is a lot of ability with the players in this team and a lot more that hasn't been seen yet. I hope they continue to improve as the season goes on. Better application and attitude at Training would really benefit all.
Bring on Bromyard next week . Hope you get well soon to Elliot Ford.
U15s v Bredon - Sunday, 2 November 2008
Match Report
It was great to see the boys back in action in what was their first proper game of the season with all the players available . As a contest it was all over after the first 20mins with Hereford running in 4 tries , converting 2 of them . If I had made notes at the time I would know all the try scorers , but I  didn't , so it’s a bit of a guess. I know that Mark , Stoner , Chris and Tim score some and Sam converted a couple.
It was great to see three new players from last season having a good impact on the game , great driving runs from Luke and Blain , speed and good hands from Jonny.
Overall the performance was good in the first half , but took the foot off the gas in the second half , other wise the score could have easily been 60 or 70 points.
I think the final score was 48 - 0 .
Praise must be given to Bredon who fielded a couple of Under 14's , to their credit they never stopped battling right up to the final whistle.
Big game next week against local rivals Ledbury , will expect to be a full squad at Training on Wednesday as everyone will want to play on Sunday.
Thank you to all the parents for their support on a cold day in Bredon,  the tea was worth it at the end !!
season 2007-2008
U15s v Monmouth - Sunday, 11 November 2007
With all the Bishops boys undertaking additional training for their forth coming Daily Mail Cup fixture against Warwick this week - the Hereford boys eased over the boarder to sunny Wales and the land of the lifting-line-out and can home with a more then satisfactory result - winning 43 v 5 - in great style.

With tries from Will Prothero, Alex Lawrence, Craig Beaumont, Josh Walker, Tom Stenhouse and Matt Walne x 2. Goal Kicking Prop Scott Robinson achieved 4 out of 7 conversion attempts (Alex Lane get practising quickly!!) Always a difficult fixture against Monmouth - this was a very good performance indeed with several players having their best games for some time.

Good luck to Bishops U15's on Tuesday and don't come to training without a big W!

Worcester again next week !

U15s v Luctonians - Sunday, 14 October 2007

Hereford U15's 66 v 0 Luctonians U15's

In a re-run of last Seasons U14's North Mids Cup Final - Hereford U15's welcomed their fellow County compatriots to Wyeside on a perfect early autumn morning, ideal for Rugby. Luctonians soon established their doggedness with some fine early defensive plays and hard tackling, breaking up the Hereford boys attacking intent. Hereford's early play was fraught with mistakes and poor handling and with a quarter of the match completed the score was all level at 0 - 0.

Accurate handling by the Hereford backs created the initial overlap which saw left wing Tom Gallagher run the ball in for the first try out wide - on the 20 minute mark. Gradually the power and strength of the Hereford front five was beginning to show, allowing the Hereford backrow forwards opportunities to join their back division in attack on the wings. Luctonians at this stage were valiant in defense and in all 'that was thrown at them'. However, within a 10 minute period at the end of the half Hereford's backs again conjured up space in midfield to score in quick succession three fine tries by Full back Alex Lane, a second for Tom Gallagher and Charlie Bird.

Half-Time Hereford 20 - 0 Luctonians.

Strong words were delivered by Coach Tim Bird at Half Time revolving around options with patterns of play, poor decision making and the indecisiveness of players to run into space.

With the slope in their favour and strategic use of the subs bench - Tom Griffiths, Herefords Captain, led 'his troops out’ for the second half. The Luctonians boys at this stage were purely out played in all aspects of the game, with again the power of the Hereford forwards proving too much for the valiant visitors - who to their credit never gave up the contest. Tries now began to flow from forwards and backs alike with second half tries for Alex Lane x 2, Will Prothero, Dan Wood, Declan Morgan, Sam Jones, Barney Woods and Nick Biffin. Alex Lane (who played the game in Coach Tim Bird's Boots after his own 'fell apart!') landed three conversions only.

New recruit James Parker had a fine and solid run-out at prop and Fraser Kelly demonstrated his individual progression and ability with a competent performance at Scrum Half.

This was a good performance on the whole, however, with a precautionary 'Could do better' mark for the days work - this was always going to be a tough test for the squad.

Many thanks to the Luctonian Team for a tough and well contested game that in a final score did not do them justice. Good luck with your Cup match against Old Sills.
